Happy 88th Birthday, Marilyn!

(1 June 1926 - 4 August 1962)

I sit in front of the mirror for hours looking for signs of age. Yet I like old people; they have great qualities that younger people don’t have. I want to grow old without facelifts. They take the life out of a face, the character. I want to have the courage to be loyal to the face I’ve made. Sometimes I think it would be easier to avoid old age, to die young, but then you’d never complete your life, would you? You’d never wholly know yourself.” - Marilyn Monroe.

A lot of small people like to put themselves into small spaces. Is that a hobby of yours?Oh, well, yeah, of course. I’ve done that my whole life. I can fit in, we used to have a sailboat, and it had an ice chest that was built inside the boat, where you open the door and put in the ice. My brother would go all the time, “See if you can fit!” And I could! I went in all kinds of places. I can fit all over. It comes in handy. They call me the pocket diva.
